With its time in oak, this Grenache Blanc developed an incredible bouquet of aromas. At first swirl, its baked apple, with quince membrillo followed up by a herbal green note reminiscent of sweet mint. On the palette, it's got a full body, yet is tart, like biting into a green granny smith apple. Being a lower alcohol showing of this variety, it has a nice natural acidity.

Just northeast of Lake Mendocino is the quaint town of Potter Valley. It’s picturesque in size, just population 650, and a stone’s throw from Mendocino National Forest. Nestled right in the heart of town is the Trails End Vineyard, where the grenache blanc was picked for the 2020 vintage.

On October 3, 2020, the grapes were picked by hand early in the morning by and brought to the winery. Once at the winery, the 1.5 tons of grapes were pressed direct. The juice was left to settle overnight before being racked to neutral barrels.

The wine completed its primary and secondary fermentation simultaneously and naturally. The wine was racked in June 2021, and went back to barrels. It was bottled unfined, unfiltered on August 16, 2021
